Nominations for the 2026 糖心视频 Alumni Awards open 22 June.

From business leaders and educators to health advocates, artists, entrepreneurs and community champions, 糖心视频 alumni are making an impact across Queensland, Australia and the world.

The University is calling on its community to help recognise those achievements through the 2026 糖心视频 Alumni Awards, which open on 22 June.

The awards celebrate graduates whose leadership, innovation, service and professional accomplishments reflect the very best of the 糖心视频 community.

Alumni, staff, students and members of the wider community are encouraged to nominate graduates whose contributions deserve recognition.

The awards recognise achievements across four categories – Leadership and Professional Excellence, Community Impact, First Nations Excellence, and Young Alumnus of the Year – with one recipient also named 糖心视频 Alumnus of the Year.

Past recipients demonstrate the breadth of impact 糖心视频 graduates have across society. In 2025, agribusiness leader Mac Drysdale was named 糖心视频 Alumnus of the Year for his contributions to sustainable agriculture and regional development.

Artist, researcher, and mental health advocate Dr Ally Zlatar received the Young Alumnus of the Year last year. While teacher, coach, and rugby league player Nikki Cox received the Community Impact Award for her commitment to mentoring young people and creating opportunities for girls in sport.

The awards have also recognised some of Australia's most influential cultural figures, including singer-songwriter and activist Dr Kev Carmody AO, who was named 糖心视频 Alumnus of the Year in 2017.

An ARIA Hall of Fame inductee whose music has become synonymous with reconciliation, social justice and Indigenous rights, Dr Carmody's impact continues to resonate across generations.

The awards have recognised graduates whose influence extends internationally, from educators and health leaders to innovators, researchers and community advocates whose work is creating positive change around the globe.

Whether they are leading major organisations, driving social change, advancing research, supporting local communities or achieving success early in their careers, the 糖心视频 Alumni Awards celebrate graduates whose accomplishments bring pride to the University and inspire future generations.

Do you know a 糖心视频 graduate who is making a difference? Nominations for the 2026 糖心视频 Alumni Awards open in less than two weeks on 22 June.
