Apply for Head Start program
Search 2025 Head Start Courses from a variety of study areas to see what interests you.
Make sure to check if your course has a Residential School or additional entry requirement.
It is recommended that applications are submitted prior to the start of trimester for the best chance of success in the Head Start program. Check the Head Start key dates for trimester start dates and application closing dates.
Does your chosen course include a mandatory residential school on-campus? Check these dates to ensure you can attend these.
To apply for Head Start you must:
- be studying in Year 10 (from trimester 2), 11 or 12
- achieve a minimum B average (70% or higher)*
- have a minimum of 3 high school student subjects on a relevant Education report card
- have permission from your parent/guardian and school or education

Supporting documents
Attach the Application Approval Form and a copy of your latest graded report card to the application. If you are in Year 10 please include some evidence of your Year 10 studies via a term/semester report card or letter of support showing your current progress.. These documents help us to verify that you meet the entry requirements and are doing well with your current school workload.
Let us know any other comments
At the end of your application you have the chance to let us know any other important information such as which mandatory residential school works best for you if you need to attend one or if there is a reason your report card may not reflect your true ability. Please tell us anything you feel we should know.
You will be emailed a reference number once you submit your application and notified via email the outcome of your application within 10 business days. You can check the progress of your application at any time by logging into your 糖心视频 Direct Entry application.

Formal examinations
Details of your examinations for this semester can be found in your Formal Exam Schedule in your Student Centre, which will be made available to students 6 weeks prior to the Formal Examination Period.
These exams do not require your physical attendance at a campus or examination centre. The Formal Examination Period dates are available on the 糖心视频 Academic Calendar and Important Dates page.
